Competition Team Auditions

Current Levels Yellow, Purple, Green, Red - 4:00 – 5:00

Current Levels Lime, Orange, Fuchsia, Teal - 5:00 – 6:30

Reminder:  It is important that dancers continue their training throughout the summer, therefore all competition Team Dancers for 2010 – 2011 are required to participate in PMD’s Dance Intensive July 26th thru August 6th.  The full two week program is strongly recommended, however a one week commitment will be accepted. If you cannot attend either week, Paula will be happy to work with you to discuss alternative classes/training for the summer.

Before attending the audition all dancers must thoroughly review the Competition Guidelines Packet for 2010 – 2011.  Dancers must submit the Competition team application form to the office signed by the parent and dancer by June 1st.  Be prepared to audition in lyric, jazz, contemporary, and/or hip hop & tap. Dancers will be scored according to their abilities in technique, turns, jumps, flexibility, attitude, attendance, performance quality, and team spirit.

Please understand that this is a competitive audition and that some dancers may not be accepted onto the team.  Parents please be sure to discuss this with your child prior to the audition.  If you have any concerns regarding this issue, please be sure to call Paula prior to the audition day. PMD wants any auditions to be a positive experience for everyone.
